A little fun

Today Esther's wearing my favorite outfit - it says "Bunny Love" on it - it's gotten the most comments and oohs and aahs from the nurses, as well as the doctors!  You can see for yourself how cute she is in it:

And here's what really gets the attention (remember, she gets her heal poked every morning, and she has a pulse-ox on her foot that needs to be moved every 4 hours, so everyone sees her feet!)

And lastly, here's a picture I just had to take - whenever Esther finished drinking and is completely done in - she'll look like this AFTER I remove the bottle or binky:

You have to realize that her lip is stuck to her chin and stays that way for several minutes - it's just hoot - I was sitting here in Esther's room alone, laughing out loud when I got the photo up on my computer!

Hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I did today!

PS - I had changed a setting on my blog that required people to register in order to post a comment, but now I've removed that setting as I think many found that registering prohibitive, so post away now!

  4. Ruth,
Don't know if you remember me from Christ Community Church. I happened to read you blog on the 19th of this month. WOW! What a special blessing you have. I want you to know that we are praying for you, Esther and your family and my ladies Bible study group is also praying for you. Just remember the same God of the Bible that parted the Red Sea, fed the crowd with 5 loaves and 2 fishes is still the same God and He is our God and He never changes. Already, you have seen God's hand working in your lives and you will continue to see Him do more. He will give the strength you need when you need it and you will not lack for more.

Thanks for keeping us posted. With all our love and prayers,
    Randy & Lynn Cole

  7. Ruth,

I am glad to hear that Esther is doing well. She is just adorable! Such a bright little face :-) and verrry cute in that outfit.

I am also glad to hear your family is "over the hump" with the food poisoning - wouldn't wish that on anyone!
Let me know when you arrive home with her....the fire department has a little gift for her...though it is not pink, we hope she will wear it !

I can bring things for your other young ones then too-helmets, fire safety workbooks and coloring books etc.

Continue on the positive path of progress to home and family together!
